The Zodiac position of this week is approximately 3 – 12 degree Pisces. The season is late winter, element is water and the ruler is Neptune.
The Pisces I period takes Spirit as its central image. This segment of the The Grand Cycle of Life can be likened in human terms to the years of a person’s late seventies. At this time, in the twilight of life, may think of higher values and of spiritual goads. For some, religion plays an important role at this time, for others a cause that embodies their highest ideals. Realizing that they have already lived beyond the average lifespan gives many a feeling for the precious nature of life that they never had previously. Ideally, every week, month and year - ultimately, every day-becomes a special gift. However, others may have come to regard life as a burden and long for the release of the spirit from the body. The days that comprise Pisces I symbolically reveal the elder embracing the present moment fully, either with joy or sorrow, but also pausing to contemplate the past and future more meaningfully than before. A higher consciousness of the meaning of life, sacrifice for a higher cause, belief in the afterlife or reincarnation, even a continued zest for living and a wish to remain ever young, are all possible at this time.
Spiritedness is also characteristic of Pisces I’s who are often lively and entertaining people. They have a youthful air that can belie their actual age. They are devotional and service-oriented. Sharing at a deep level with family and friends is an essential need for Pisces I’s – the knack for enjoying the pleasures of life alone is not usually part of their makeup. Unfortunately they are not always successful in their attempts to share and this leads to frustration. In love relationships Pisces I’s often display an emotional instability.
